Anti-Aging Facial in Knoxville, TN

50 to 60 Minutes · Licensed Estheticians · Farragut & Cedar Bluff · 4.8 Stars, 1,500+ Reviews

An anti-aging facial is a hands-on skin treatment that runs 50 to 60 minutes and works on the visible, surface-level side of aging: dryness, dull texture, puffiness, and fine lines that look deeper when skin is short on water. A licensed esthetician cleanses, exfoliates gently, layers serums picked for your skin that day, spends 10 to 15 minutes on facial and lymphatic massage, then finishes with moisturizer and SPF.

It is worth saying plainly what it is not. Not Botox, not filler, not laser resurfacing, not a medical peel. It will not erase a line that is there when your face is at rest. What most people get from an anti-aging facial is skin that looks smoother, plumper and more even for about 7 to 14 days, and that holds better once they are 4 to 6 sessions in.

Same menu and the same licensed estheticians at both spas. Farragut sits on Kingston Pike near Turkey Creek. Cedar Bluff is just off I-40/I-75 at exit 378. We open 10 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday, 1 pm to 8 pm Sunday, and skin appointments book online or by phone at (865) 671-3200 and (865) 236-0880.

Hydration You Can Actually See

Plenty of the fine lines on a 40-year-old face look deeper than they are because the skin is short on water. Humectants sealed under a moisturizer plump them out, and that is the part you notice in the mirror.

Gentle Resurfacing, Not a Peel

Enzymes or a mild acid lift the dull top layer without the 5 to 7 days of flaking a medical peel costs you. No downtime, and makeup can go back on the same evening.

The Massage Is Doing Real Work

10 to 15 minutes of facial and lymphatic massage moves fluid out from under the eyes and along the jaw. Same day, that de-puffing is the change most people spot first after an anti-aging facial.

Serums Onto Prepared Skin

Product goes onto skin that has just been cleansed, warmed and exfoliated, so more of it lands where it is meant to. That is the honest advantage over the same two or three bottles at home.

A Series Beats a Splurge

One session looks good for about 2 weeks. Six visits about 4 weeks apart is where most people find tone and texture start holding. Booking one facial a year and expecting the second result is the usual mistake.

4.8 Stars, 1,500+ Reviews

Best of Knoxville 2026, two locations, licensed Tennessee estheticians at both. Membership is $89 a month and covers one massage or facial, plus 10% off spa services and retail at either spa.

What an anti-aging facial actually does

Take the marketing off an anti-aging facial and four things are doing the work: hydration, gentle exfoliation, massage that moves fluid, and serums applied to skin that has been prepared for them. None of that changes your bone structure or the way your muscles move. All of it changes how light hits your face, which is most of what people mean when they say someone looks rested.

The order matters more than any single product. Cleanse, warm the skin, take the dead surface layer down, then apply while the skin is warm and damp and will actually take it. Run those four steps out of sequence at home in the 3 minutes before bed and you get a fraction of the result. That sequencing is most of what a licensed esthetician is for.

Hydration and the barrier

Dehydrated skin creases. A plump, well-supported barrier does not. Humectants go on while the skin is still damp and get sealed under a moisturizer, so the water stays in the top layers for days rather than evaporating by dinner. What guests notice as softer lines on day 2 is mostly that, and nothing more mysterious.

Why the de-puffing is real

The 10 to 15 minutes of massage is the part people underrate, then ask for by name on visit 2. Manual drainage moves fluid out from under the eyes and along the jawline. It is a day or two of change rather than a week, and it is what you notice first in the car mirror.

What an anti-aging facial will not do

This is a skincare treatment, not a medical procedure, and the gap between those two things is where most disappointment comes from. It does not relax a muscle, add volume, or wound skin deeply enough to remodel a scar. Anywhere promising 10 years off in one hour is describing surgery, not a facial.

Static lines, the ones still there when your face is at rest, are structural. Less obvious on well-hydrated skin, yes. Erased, no. Deep sun damage, broken capillaries, active rosacea and melasma are dermatology territory, and our estheticians work with a dermatologist, never in place of one. Bring a diagnosis with you and we will work around it, not over it.

  • It is not Botox: nothing here stops the muscle that folds an 11 line between the brows.
  • It is not filler: no volume goes into a cheek or a tear trough in 60 minutes.
  • It is not laser or a medical peel, so there is no 5 to 7 day peel-and-hide window.
  • Nothing on a spa menu undoes 20 years of sun. Daily SPF 30 or higher is what keeps the next 20 from stacking on top.
  • It treats no medical skin condition, and cystic acne belongs with a dermatologist first.
  • Results fade: 7 to 14 days from a single visit, longer once you are 3 or 4 sessions in.

Why skin ages the way it does

Collagen production slows from your mid-20s, and the figure usually quoted is a decline of about 1 percent a year through adult life. Not a cliff. A slow leak. Which is why people who start paying attention at 30 tend to like the mirror better at 50 than people who start at 49.

Two forces, roughly. One you did not choose and cannot stop, and one you have been choosing every day since you were 15: how much sun lands on your face. The first sets the floor. The second decides how far above that floor you finish, which is why two people the same age can look a decade apart.

The 1 percent a year problem

By 45 there is meaningfully less collagen and elastin in your skin than there was at 25, and the skin's own oil and water retention have dropped with it. Nothing in a treatment room puts that protein back. What a monthly appointment does is keep the surface hydrated and exfoliated so the structure you still have shows at its best.

Sun does most of the visible damage

Dermatologists put most visible facial aging down to ultraviolet exposure rather than birthdays. The case that gets shown in lectures is a delivery truck driver whose left side, the one by the window, looked far older than his right after 28 years on the road. UV still lands on your face in January, just less of it than in July. Daily SPF 30 or higher does more over 10 years than any 60 minutes on our table.

The cadence question: every 4 weeks, or once a year?

The outer layer replaces itself on a 28 day clock at 25 and closer to a 40 day one at 55, so a facial every 4 weeks meets fresh skin rather than fighting the last one. If you plan to keep that up, the $89 membership covers one massage or facial a month plus 10% off spa services and retail, good at both locations.

Starting from skin that has been ignored for a couple of years, most estheticians will suggest something like 6 sessions 4 weeks apart. Judge it at visit 4, not visit 1. Puffiness and glow change immediately, tone and texture change slowly, and those two timelines get confused constantly, usually by someone booking a single facial and calling it a test.

  • Maintenance: one anti-aging facial every 4 weeks, which is 12 or 13 a year if you never miss one.
  • A first run is usually 6 visits over about 6 months, then a proper conversation with your esthetician.
  • Before a wedding or a photo shoot: 5 to 7 days ahead, never in the 24 hours before.
  • List what you actually put on your skin at home on the intake form, actives included; it changes how the 60 minutes get spent.
  • Homecare carries the other 27 days: SPF 30 or higher every morning, moisturizer twice a day, and 7 to 8 hours of sleep.

Dermaplaning or a Glo2Facial: how they differ from this facial

Two questions come up at the desk more than any others when someone books for fine lines. What about dermaplaning? What about the Glo2Facial? They do different work: one takes vellus hair and dead surface cells off with a blade, the other drives serum in with oxygen and no acid. Both are on the menu at each of our 2 locations.

Neither replaces the other, and neither is required. A plain customized facial is a good place to start, especially on a first visit while your esthetician is still learning what your skin does. No rule says the first appointment has to be the biggest one you ever book.

Dermaplaning

A sterile single-use blade takes off vellus hair and the dead surface layer in 15 to 20 minutes of work. Skin reflects light differently afterward and makeup sits flat instead of catching on peach fuzz. The brightness holds about 3 weeks, and serums reach skin rather than sitting on top of it.

The Glo2Facial

Our most-requested facial: an oxygen-infusion treatment that lifts dead cells and drives serum in without acid or a blade, so there is nothing to flake afterward. It suits skin that finds acids too stimulating, and it is a common pick when an event is 2 or 3 days out. Both spas run it, 10 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday and 1 pm to 8 pm Sunday.

The two weeks after your anti-aging facial

Nothing dramatic happens afterward, which is the point of a treatment with no downtime. The curve still has a shape, though, and knowing it stops people rebooking 10 days too early or writing the whole thing off on day 12. Here is how the two weeks usually go.

If skin is still red 24 hours later, or it stings, call the location you visited: (865) 671-3200 for Farragut, (865) 236-0880 for Cedar Bluff. Tell your esthetician before the next visit either way, because that is how the protocol changes. A product that stung once will sting again if nobody writes it down.

  • First 4 hours: mild pink from steam and massage is normal. Hold off on makeup and the gym.
  • First 24 hours: skip the sauna, hot yoga, chlorine and unprotected sun, and keep your hands off your face.
  • 48 hours: the last of the pink is gone and makeup sits flat again.
  • Day 2: the peak, with hydration and de-puffing landing together.
  • Day 2 to day 4: with extractions, expect 2 or 3 spots to surface and settle inside a week.
  • Week 2: the glow fades, hydration is still ahead of where it started, and this is the week to rebook about 4 weeks out.

Booking an anti-aging facial in Knoxville

Pick the spa by how long it takes you to get there, because the menu and the licensed estheticians are the same at both. Farragut is at 10935 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934, at the Turkey Creek end of the Pike, and it is the shorter trip from Farragut, Hardin Valley and Concord. Cedar Bluff is at 9621 Countryside Center Ln, Knoxville, TN 37931, off I-40/I-75 at exit 378, which is faster from Bearden, West Hills and the UT side of town.

Both spas run an infrared table sauna, and the order matters if you want both: heat first, facial second, never the other way round. Both spas are open until 8 pm every day, and facials book online, so nobody has to call to reserve one.

Not sure this is the right first appointment? Say your main concern when you book. A licensed esthetician adapts the protocol in the room, and if what actually bothers you is dehydration or congestion, a customized facial built around that concern is the better place to start. Nobody at the desk is going to talk you into the longer booking.

Anti-Aging Facial in Knoxville, TN — Common Questions

Does an anti-aging facial actually work, or is it just a nice hour?

Both, honestly. Hydration, gentle exfoliation and 10 to 15 minutes of lymphatic massage make a difference you can see for about 7 to 14 days. What it does not do is rebuild collagen the way a fractional laser or a prescription your dermatologist writes can. If you want to judge it fairly, give it about 6 visits 4 weeks apart and compare photos rather than memory.

How is this different from Botox or filler?

Botox relaxes the muscle that folds a dynamic line. Filler adds volume. This works on the skin surface instead: water, dead-cell removal, serums, drainage. Plenty of guests do both. Leave about 2 weeks between injections and a facial, since the massage step presses on the same areas, and let your injector set the exact timing. We do no injectables at either location.

What age should I start?

Anywhere from 25 to 70 is normal. The appointment does not change with age; the protocol inside it does. At 27 the work is mostly prevention, barrier support and SPF habits. At 55 there is more hydration, gentler resurfacing and more lifting massage. Tell your esthetician what actually bothers you and the 60 minutes gets built around that.

How close to my wedding day should the last one be?

Book the anti-aging facial 5 to 7 days out. That leaves room for a small purge to clear and lets the hydration settle into its best-looking window. Not the 24 hours before, and never a treatment you have never had inside 2 weeks of the day. If you want a series, start about 6 months out at one visit a month.

Will it hurt, or will I peel afterward?

No, and almost certainly no. Cleansing, steam, mask and massage are comfortable enough that most people stop talking 10 minutes in. Extractions feel like brief pressure for 2 or 3 minutes, and you can ask for fewer of them. Resurfacing here is enzyme or mild-acid level rather than a medical peel, so flaking is uncommon and there is no downtime. Pink skin for 1 to 4 hours is normal.

How many sessions before anyone else notices?

You see the de-puffing and the glow the same day, and it holds 7 to 14 days. Other people notice texture and tone, and those move slowly, so if anyone is going to say something it is usually after 3 or 4 visits rather than after the first. That gap is why we talk about cadence instead of one big splurge.

Dermaplaning or the Glo2Facial, which one fits what I want?

Different tools. Dermaplaning is a blade, 15 to 20 minutes of it, taking vellus hair and dead surface cells off so makeup stops catching and skin stays bright for about 3 weeks. The Glo2Facial gets there with oxygen instead of acid or a blade, which makes it the easier call if actives leave your skin stinging or you need a glow for something 2 or 3 days out. Pricing for both, and for the facial itself, is on the current menu at the desk and online.

I use strong actives at home. Should I say something?

Yes, and put it on the intake form rather than saving it for the room. Your esthetician can read your skin in the first 5 minutes of a 60 minute appointment, but she cannot read your bathroom shelf. Once she knows what is on it, she adjusts the treatment, works around it, or tells you plainly that moving the appointment is the better call.

Farragut or Cedar Bluff?

Drive time decides. Farragut at 10935 Kingston Pike, (865) 671-3200, suits Farragut, Hardin Valley, Concord and Turkey Creek. Cedar Bluff at 9621 Countryside Center Ln, (865) 236-0880, sits off I-40/I-75 exit 378 and is quicker from Bearden, West Hills and downtown. Same licensed estheticians, same menu, both open until 8 pm 7 days a week.
